Saga Rose
Went on a City tour and it was excellent! We had imagined a bit of a
seedy place (all those '50s French films) but it had a lot going for
it. We stopped way above the harbour at the Notre Dame de la Garde and
the harbour lay below with the islands (including the Île d'If,
of "The Count of Monte Cristo " fame), also at the Palais
Longchamp, Opera House and saw several rather nice fountains and statues.
Back on board at 12.40 and no time to go back on the shuttle bus as
we sailed at 3.30.
