2014. Why the bunting?
It was a grey, overcast
day with the threat of rain so we took the shuttle bus into Town rather
than walk. Rather an unspiring place (in my opinion) with the pavements
strewn with boxes of goods being unloaded for the shops. The Town was
bedecked with bunting and flags, we never found out why, and there was
a rather nice statue of Kemal Ataturk (see below). What with the boxes
obstructing the pavements and the amount of people walking around talking
into their mobile phones and, seemingly, not seeing us we soon got fed
up with it and walked back to the Ship.
