2017 Rhine Cruise.Into the Mosel and only an hour or two in Winningen (early morning). I went in on my own and was (almost) the only person about. A lovely Medieval Town. The Cruise Director did tell us the story of the wine witch but, of course, I've forgotten it.
What a pleasure it was to walk around the town and hardly see a soul. Saw about 5 people and 3 of those were off the boat.
The founder of Audi, August Horch, was born in Winningen so, if you drive an Audi, you have a connection with Winningen!
