Tallinn from above
21st. June, the longest day at home but here
it's not until the 23rd. apparently, I didn't know that! 8.45 start
for our tour of the City. a tour around to look at the sites and then
into a building for tea / coffee , cakes and 6 dancers (3 men and 3
women) in National Dress doing folk dances. Very good. Walked back to
the coach but there wasn't much time to do much looking. Back on the
Ruby and we found 2 envelopes in our cabin. One was an invitation to
the Captain's Cocktail Party tomorrow and the other was an invitation
to dine at his table following the Party. Magic! Caught the 2pm shuttle
into town, walked right up to overlook the town (see photo above), then
back down to the Cathedral (very ornate) and a walk around for a bit
of shopping (to be honest the tourist souvenirs were not cheap) and
sightseeing before getting the 4pm shuttle back to the ship. We'd both
had enough walking by this time.
