We visited Santa Cruz on the 2000/2001 Christmas in the Canaries the 2006 Canaries Carousel the 2013 Fortunate Isles and the 2017 Saga Pearl II cruises but what a lovely place it looked! As you can see from the photo (taken in 2000) the background is splendid (as is the foreground but I would say that, wouldn't I!) and the Town itself is well worth a visit. A full size (I think) replica of the Santa Maria, a Castle (not old, but attractive), a lovely Church and so quiet. I don't think you can fly direct from the UK which keeps away the hordes but well worth checking out if you want warm winter sun without the lager louts.See the photos of the 2006 Arcadia Cruises
