Having had a bad time, health wise, and having to cancel a couple of short holidays we decided we needed a break and booked on a cruise to the Canaries calling at Funchal, La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Agadir and Casablanca. The holiday did not get off to a good start. A few days before, I was bitten by a dog and had to attend hospital. The antibiotics caused a problem and for the first 12 hours on board we were confined to our cabin. The worst thing was that this was the Ruby's last trip out of Dover and they put on a bit of a show, also the Saga Sapphire was in port (with sister Ann and brother in law Michael on board) and they all (apparently) waved us off. Still, I had the dressing changed on board for nothing and the Doctor changed the antibiotics, which helped.
