A
REAL cruise! I had been on mini cruises but never a REAL one. This was
my ultimate holiday ambition. To be honest, Edna gets sea sick when
she looks at the Thames but she agreed to go.... What a time! Couldn't
get into Gambia because of the rough seas, couldn't go ashore at Madeira
because of rough seas, had to divert to Lisbon on the way back to land
a lady who broke her collar bone falling because of the rough seas,
she had to be air-lifted (we couldn't get into Lisbon because of the
rough seas), force 11 weather and Edna got sea sick. We loved it! It
was my number one Holiday, the service was fabulous, the ship was fabulous,
Saga was fabulous, the food was fabulous, the entertainment was fabulous.
Even Edna loved it. She would have preferred the ship not to move but,
like me, she's a snob at heart and loved the old fashioned service we
got. AND we won more quizzes than anyone else (is that a bit sad, even
mentioning it?). Teams of six, we got together with the ladies below,
TOTS (Terry's old tarts). No insult, this is what we called ourselves!
